Argatroban Monohydrate is a synthetic anticoagulant and reversible competitive thrombin inhibitor, which has strong selective inhibition of thrombin and inhibits platelet aggregation induced by thrombin. The inhibitory effect on fibrinase was weak. In vitro, the thrombus generated by various thrombosis models was inhibited. Chemicalbook has been proved to be more effective than heparin in the prevention of coronary thrombosis in experimental models, and can competitively inhibit thrombin induced platelet activation and aggregation. Unlike heparin, agaltreban does not cause thrombocytopenia and does not prolong bleeding further when aspirin is added. Preliminary studies have shown that the drug is an effective combination with aspirin in the prevention of coronary thrombosis. Agaltreban is effective for unstable angina.
