Baloxavir is a third-generation anti-influenza chemical, originally developed by Shiono Pharmaceutical Co., LTD., and globally developed by Roche. Chemicalbook is the first single-dose oral Chemicalbook to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in nearly 20 years. Chemicalbook is the first single-dose oral Chemicalbook that has A novel antiviral mechanism of action against influenza A and B viruses. Including tamiflu (oseltamivir) resistant strains of influenza and avian influenza (H7N9, H5N1). The study showed that the new drug was effective in a single oral administration in patients over 12 years of age with acute flu symptoms lasting less than 48 hours.
Baloxavir is a drug employed in the treatment of influenza virus infection.
Baloxavir marboxil is a selective inhibitor of influenza cap-dependent endonuclease. It has shown therapeutic activity in preclinical models of influenza A and B virus infections, including strains resistant to current antiviral agents.
